What happens at an EFC Women's retreat?
Retreat is a time for YOU to get away from the busyness of life and focus on YOUR relationship with God without distractions of work or family responsibilities. You will experience a variety of activities such as teaching sessions, games & art experiences, worship, hiking, prayer groups and solitude time with Jesus.
It's also time to build relationships with other women in our community. You will stay in dorms or cabins along with others and have opportunities to get to know 3-4 of them deeper through your assigned small group for the weekend.
Delicious meals will be provided by the retreat center where you get to meet even MORE women from the community around the table.
Registration Details:
Cost: $65 includes:
2 nights of dorm style lodging,
5 meals,
unlimited coffee/tea, and
retreat materials)
Registration is open until September 27th!
If we have not received payment by that time, your registration will be cancelled.
You will receive an email concerning other conference details closer to the date.
EFC has some money set aside for scholarships. In order to be considered you must apply using the following link
You must apply BEFORE September 20th. No financial requests will be taken after the 20th.
No full scholarships will be given. Each woman is asked to pay what she can in ordered to be considered.
Transportation
Arrival time for this retreat is flexible between 2:00pm and 6:00pm.
For this reason and to keep costs down, EFC IS NOT PROVIDING A BUS.
We are asking that you coordinate rides with others, take an uber or bus.
You will also need to find transportation for going back home.
The city bus runs from Quito to Calacali. We will schedule pickups from the bus stop to El Refugio.
To share an uber from EFC to El Refugio, will cost approx. $4 per person if the car holds 4 people.
If you have a car and are willing to drive others, please let us know below.
Remember: It would be polite to offer some gas money to those who are willing to drive you.
Accomodations
Lodging for two nights is dorm style, 10-11 women per dorm with two shared bathrooms and bunk beds for sleeping. We are hoping to partner with the AAI property next door in hopes to keep all people on bottom bunks for ease.
Private rooms are not available on El Refugio campus.
There is a handicapped dorm available.
El Refugio is able to accommodate most dietary needs but not all of them.
We will let you know if your needs can be accommodated or if you will need to provide your own food.
There are limitations to what we can provide.

Registration requires you to upload picture of your payment. If you would like to pay in cash versus bank transfer or deposit, please email women@efcquito.com to receive a cash payment picture.
If we have not received your payment by September 27th, your registration will be cancelled.
Payment:
The FULL $65 Payment must be completed in order for registration to be complete.
We will have two options- transfer or cash.
For both forms of payment you will need a picture of the receipt in order to complete the registration form.
For cash, bring your payment in an envelope with your name on it to women's ministry team members after church on Sundays- Someone will be available Sept 13, 20 and 27th. They will give you a receipt for your payment for you to take a picture of to upload.
For transfer- please send your payment to the EFC Banco International account (this is not the offering account). Take a picture of your receipt to upload.
