I was born and raised here in Ecuador. My parents were missionaries to the Cofan people of the Oriente. So I grew up always knowing about Jesus and what he did for me on the cross. But between my 1st and 4th grade years of school, God worked in my heart to understand that faith without action is dead (James 2:17). In 2nd grade God gave me a verse Luke 8:16 “No on lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.” This verse has been a powerful reminder in my life to shine for Jesus in all that I do.

I always felt that God was leading me to missions. So after graduating from the Alliance Academy I went to the United States to work and study, making frequent trips back to Ecuador. During this time, I met my wife Esther at Bible school and then moved to Ecuador in 1990 to work with the Cofan people. God has directed me into many different areas of ministry over the years. First of all being a husband and father to 6 children, also working with churches and their leaders, discipleship training for new leaders, radio programs in Cofan and working with youth and children.

My desire is to lay a foundation of Jesus in the lives of children and youth, because they are the future church.
